OASIS 2021 Regional Show and Sale

OASIS 2021 OKANAGAN ART SHOW CALL FOR ENTRIES

NOTE: ALL REVENUE raised from ENTRY FEES will go to AWARDS!

This is a Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) Regional Chapter Show organized by the Central Okanagan Chapter (FCA-COC). It is a juried, qualifying Chapter show with a full suite of awards.

The OASIS 2021 Okanagan Art Show will be displayed and for sale in the COC’s Online Gallery.  The top 80 paintings will also be eligible to hang at the Peachland Art Gallery (PAG).

Accepted, qualifying entries will earn a signature status point. Some non-qualifying (chapter’s choice) paintings may be accepted to fill the online gallery (these will not receive a point). Only accepted, qualifying entries are eligible for awards.

Artwork will be available for purchased directly from the on-line gallery. If your painting should sell from the on-line gallery, you should be prepared to deliver it within the Central Okanagan or Thompson/Nicola/ Shushwap area. If outside your region, the purchaser will pay the shipping fees.

Show Location: Peachland Art Gallery, 5684 Beach Ave., Peachland, BC. On-line gallery, FCA-COC website.

Entry Deadline: 5 pm, Sunday, May 16^th, 2021.

Painting Drop off: Sunday, June 20^th, 4 pm to 6 pm & Monday, June 21st, 10 am to 4pm.

Show Dates: Saturday, June 26^th through to Saturday, July 31, 2021

Participants: Open to all Active & Signature members of the South, Central and North Okanagan Chapters as well as the Thompson Nicola Shuswap Chapter of the FCA.

Category Awards: Best Abstract, Best Floral/Still Life, Best Figurative/Animal, Best Landscape/Cityscape
Additional Awards (no category): Best of Show, Award of Excellence (x3), Honourable Mention (x3)

Entry Fee: $15 per image (max. 5 entries of which up to 5 may be accepted to the online gallery). Images should be approximately 2,000 pixels on the longest side.
Commission: 30% (25% PAG + 5% COC)

Restrictions:

• Artwork cannot have been shown in Almost Spring Show, OASIS or at PAG previously.
• Artwork that has been shown in any other FCA show is admissible providing it has not won an award (People’s Choice Award is not considered an FCA Award).
• Paintings cannot be larger than 40” x 40” including the frame.
• Paintings must be for sale

Submission of entry to this exhibition automatically constitutes the entrant's acceptance of the guidelines and rules outlined in the General Submissions Guide. Entries that fail to meet these guidelines and rules or that fail to meet the parameters of the Call for Entry, will be declined without refund.
