The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA), headquartered in Vancouver, promotes the advancement of Canadian artists and the appreciation of Canadian art. With a membership of approximately 2,500 artists, the FCA is a powerful voice for art in Canada. Most members reside in British Columbia, with others located in Alberta, Eastern Canada and internationally. Amongst its other activities, the FCA holds eighteen juried exhibitions per year of works by its members displayed in the FCA gallery in Vancouver, and publishes a bimonthly magazine called “Art Avenue” with helpful information for artists including business and marketing articles, call for entries, workshops and more. The FCA also maintains a 4-tier member status rating based on juried peer review, reflecting members’ proficiency. For more information about the FCA visit the website at www.artists.ca.
