I am a prairie girl—I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where I raised my family, a son and a daughter. I also have 3 beautiful grandchildren. I spent my working life in Winnipeg as a Secretary in various Law firms and my last 21 working years as an Administrator for the politicians at Winnipeg City Council. I retired to the beautiful city of Vernon, and took up an interest in painting—and that’s when all the fun began! I have recently moved to Kelowna. I paint mainly with acrylics and I have taken many workshops at interesting places learning my craft.
I love beautiful things, and I love this gorgeous planet we live on with its delicate and bold beauty. I want to be able to see as much of it as I possibly can with the time I have left on it. I want to paint it and lose myself in the art of capturing it. I love painting outdoors in it.
I love colour—vibrant warm colour, and I like to paint in a semi-abstract “group of seven” style.
I will always be challenged to try to capture the lovely, the beautiful, the enchanting world made by my Creator.
