Pat Higgins

Pat Higgins was born and educated in England; she came to Canada in 1963 and has lived in Kelowna since 1968.

In 1983, she received a Diploma in Fine Arts, from Okanagan University College in Kelowna after studying there over a period some years.

She has taken workshops and studied under such artists as Don Andrews, Dona Baspaly, Allan Bruce, Carolyn Davidson, Joyce Kamaikura, Carlo O’Connor and Gerry Puley and Justin Ogilvie

1997 A Two Women Show at the Art Gallery in Oosyoos BC.

1999 An exhibition with KADAC through their Artscape programme.

2008 Latitudes a group shows with Livessence

2008 Art Walk group show with Livessence (figurative)

Her paintings have been accepted into juried Federation shows in Vancouver and here in Kelowna in the Okanagan Chapter.

Pat is a member of the recently formed “Company of Artists” which paints at the Rotary Centre of the arts every other Thursday in the winter. This club has just had a most successful summer painting plein air.

Pat is also a member of the Livessence Society for figurative artists and models. She draws and paints with them every Saturday.

Pats paintings can be viewed at the Barn Gallery, Oyama from May until October.
