James Hayes James Hayes has been interested in the arts from a very young age.  He was very fortunate to have been mentored by some very prominent artists from the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, who generously immersed him in their world of painting, passing on their gifts and passion for oil painting.   James is currently painting, teaching and mentoring with old friends and  students at his studio in Oyama, B.C.  I will also consider commission work.

James' artwork hangs in numerous private collections in Canada and internationally including the USA, New Zealand and Hawaii. He has placed in the top ten best artist award each year showing in one of British Columbia's largest art shows: ARTWALK. www.artwalk.ca; To include: 2nd place in 2006; 1st place in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010. His work has also appeared in the Okanagan Art Works magazine as a featured artist. These works were then published into a wonderful table book by Liz Burnett editor and the creator of Okanagan Art Works Magazine: www.okanaganartworks.com    

James is married to Janice, and is a father and proud grandfather. Many of his family members are also immersed in the arts.
