Anne Gidluck Born in Western Australia, Anne has been influenced by the strong vibrant colours of the Australian landscape. Anne studied art throughout school and college but marriage, children and emigration to Canada meant that her art was put on hold for a number of years. After raising their family and working full-time for several years it was time to devote more time to her painting so she exchanged desk for easel. Anne has studied under several well known Calgary artists and participated  in numerous workshops to further her art.

While she resided in Calgary, Anne was a founding member of the Bohemian Art Group and Window on Art and was a member of Art Horizons and Calyx and is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.

Over the last few years Anne has shown very successfully in around Calgary and its environs at the Rocky View Link Gallery, Platinum Gallery, Art and Soul Gallery and Calyx. For 5 years she showed very successfully at "From the Ground Up".

Anne works primarily in oils for her figurative work and in acrylics for her mixed media works.

Anne and her husband retired to Kelowna in February 2010 and she now has the beauty of the Okanagan Valley to excite her senses and add to her goal of portraying the colour, warmth and diversity of Canada and the various countries she has visited.
